How to Apply a Tank Pad?
1. Clean the Surface
- Completely remove dust, dirt, oil, and polish from the tank surface where you will apply it.
- Wipe with lightly soapy water or an alcohol-based cleaner.
- The surface must be completely dry.
2. Determine the Position
- Determine exactly where you want the tank pad to sit.
- For decorative purposes, consider aesthetic alignment; for protection, pay attention to knee distance according to your riding position.
- You can temporarily mark its position with tape.
3. Start Removing the Protective Paper
- Slowly peel off the protective paper from the back of the tank pad.
- Removing it piece by piece, starting from the top, rather than all at once, makes alignment easier.
- Tank pad, side pad, and fuel cap sets are included in the package for models that come as a set; you may not see them without opening the package, please open the package and check the parts.
4. Application Process
- Apply slowly from top to bottom.
- Press with your fingers or a soft cloth to prevent air from getting between the adhesive surface and the tank.
5. Final Check
- Once the tank pad is fully adhered, firmly press the edges to increase its adhesive strength.
- Avoid washing your motorcycle or leaving it directly under the sun for the first 24 hours.
